The Battle

There are these high and mighty philosophies that rise up against God, that rise up to distort the truth, the knowledge of who God is and who He says I am.

They come to distort, to twist, to steal, to destroy, to harm, to destroy.

We have permission to arrest these thoughts, these emotions,
We have permission to take them captive, to make them a prisoner.
We have permission to lock up that lie, that twisted philosophy, that worldly argument that defies the truth,
that passing thought that is aimed to rob our joy, our peace, our faith.

We have permission to take them captive, to take away their power.
We have permission to declare truth!

It's a process...
It's a battle...
But it is a battle that will lead us to victory.

We are not alone in the battle.
Christ within us is revealing His truth, giving us His desires, His courage, His strength.
He is marching us to victory.

Our mind has to take the thought, philosophy, idea. emotion, voice CAPTIVE,
Put it on trial...asking the questions: Is this obedient to Christ? Is this truth from His heart? Is this a life
       thought.
Our will makes the choice to accept or reject it.

The battle continues...
The process goes on...
But victory is merging... as our mind becomes more Christ-like,
                                                                               pure-like,
                                                                               peace-like,
                                                                               joy-like.
So thankful to be on the winning side!

Fear

This fear thing,
       cripples my intentions,
       limits my possibilities,
       hinders me from experiences.

This fear thing,
       goes deep,
       darkening my path,
       creating stress, worry.

This fear thing,
has the word, "What If" attached to it,
       shuts the door to dreams,
makes me who I don't want to be.

Fear makes me do things and say things I regret.

Fear is not my inheritance,
It is not in God's plan for me,
It is a trap, a snare, a scheme of my enemy.

My Father understands, and offers His divine help.
When I call... He comes...rescues me
Even from that enemy of fear.

"Fear not," He sings, "I am big enough, strong enough,
I am here to help, deliver."

As I listen...as I trust,
His words and truth renew my mind, transform my thinking.

Absence of fear is hope,
Absence of fear trusts and believes,
Absence of fear brings a song...creates peace.
Absence of fear is where I can prosper...where I can dream.
It is where His provision is,
It is where He wants me,
It is the place I can prosper and live in that abundant life that He so desires for me to have.

The Question/ The Answer

You ask me, "What justifies this confidence of yours in saying the Lord will deliver?"

I rise up in confidence in my God,
He is like no other God,
What other God is living?
What other God is the Creator of all things?
What other God sits on the throne, judging and reigning over all?
What other God is so powerful, yet so gentle?
What other God knows me completely, my words, my thoughts, my steps?
What other God can defy all logic, all opinion polls, all stock market reports, all natural laws, because of His
   limitless power and wisdom?
What other God desires a relationship with me, longs for me?
What other God delivers me from darkness by sacrificing Himself?
What other God chose me to belong to Him, and then adopts me into His family?
What other God walks with me, never leaves me, lives inside of me?
What other God is for me, delights in me, loves me beyond measure?
What other God is able to do exceedingly beyond all I could ask or think?

This is why I can trust my God!
This is why I can have confidence and look you in the eye and declare,
"MY GOD IS ABLE TO DELIVER!"

Waves of Your Grace

As I run unto the beach, and run to the water's edge,
I am overcome with the words you speak to me in the beauty of this creation of Yours.
The waves continuing to flow, continuing to crash, continuing to wash in and flow out.

Just like Your waves of grace,

Washing over me,
Continuing to cleanse, continuing to rescue, continuing to believe in me,
Continuing to renew, refresh, rebuild, return.
These waves of grace just continue,
Continue to flow, never missing a beat,

In the storm the waves are big, sometimes huge, with monstrous grace, provision, protection.

In the calm, Your waves of grace continue, flowing with blessings, favor, special treasure.

Always with enough,
Always with more than enough,
Always
Never ceasing....

His Label

The Father has labeled me
Beautiful, a diamond of great value, a precious gem radiating His glory.

The other label is poweless,
He sets His label over the other spoken label and declares,

"The label I give you, my daughter, is truth, it is who you are, it is how I see you.
It's the label that I, your Maker, your Lover, your Shepherd, place upon you.
It is the label of the One who knows you intimately.
All other labels have to fade,
They are hung over you by the one who desires to destroy you.
They are not truth, only lies."

The Father places His label over me,
Whispers it into my ear, sings it over me,
Shouts it into me when the other voice tries to wedge itself in with the lie.

I am believing my Maker's label.
The One who loves me says, "You are a diamond, pure, beautiful, priceless."

He is the One I trust,
He is the One I believe,
He is the One I love!

The Song of Trust

The Lord will hear your cry,
He will come quickly to help,
To rescue you on the days of danger, when the storm rages, when the test is positive, when the pink slip is
  issued, when darkness lunges...

Your God, who is grace and bestows grace, will set you apart,
As you look to Him...He will set you apart to pour His grace upon,  rescue you, keeping you safe
  from fear and anxiety.
He provides supernatural help,
Help that doesn't make sense to us or seem possible.
Help that comes from the heavenly realms,

Help that is saturated with His favor, goodness and grace.

Your Father delights in who you are.
How tenderly He watches over you and cares for you.
He knows you,
He sees each step of faith, each decision to trust.
He hears each time you whisper His name, each song you sing for Him.
How He celebrates each sacrifice of love you show.
How He loves to give you your hearts desires.
How He smiles when you try...and rejoices when you succeed.
How He loves to celebrate you, .
Celebrate your personality, celebrate who you are and who you are becoming.
How He celebrates when you get it, discovering the greatness of His love for you,
How He shouts for joy when you discover the gifts and talents He gave you, and you share them with others.

How He longs for you to enter into that abundant life that He provided for you with His poured out love.

Patiently He waits,
Patiently He watches,
Patiently He intercedes,
Patiently He teaches,
Patiently He fights for you,
Patiently He picks you up and sets you on your feet again,
Patiently He continues to love, rejoicing in who you are,
Patiently He believes in you,
Patiently He reveal His truth and goodness to you.

How He celebrates when your eyes are opened and your heart responds to His love.
How He celebrates your trust,
How He celebrates your discovery of the bigness of His love, His protection, His provision, His grace.

How delightful it is for Him when the one He planned, created, and breathed life into, the one He died
for to release from sin's grasp...
Returns, discovers, receives the gift of His poured out love,
Discovers the abundant life He had always planned for them.

Two-way trust with His chords of love holding the package together.

Even Though...

What is your "even though?"
Habakkuk's "even though" was in a time of barrenness, a time of stripping away.

"Even though
The fig tree has no blossoms,
And the grape vines are empty,
              The fields lie barren,
The cattle barns are empty." Habakkuk 3:17

So what is your "even though?"
Is it lack of provision,
A disturbing result from a test result,
A sickness that continues although you have prayed for healing,
Is it a marriage you know the Lord has promised to restore, but nothing is changing,
Are the bills piling up and the promised income has not arrived,
Maybe it's the ache for a child that is searching and bond by the enemy's grip,
Or the loss of a loved one?

Habakkuk's response to his "even though"
               "Yet will I praise Him
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation.
The Lord is my strength, He will bring me safely over this mountain." Habakkuk 3:18,19

Yes, the righteous live by faith.
The righteous realize life is more than can be seen, more is going on than can be determined
    here on earth.
The righteous know that their God sees the big picture, and His promises are true,
Even though life looks and feels bleak at the moment.

Yet, they praise Him!
Because they know that He is in control, He is for them..not against them,
they know that He is good, faithful,
Yes, they KNOW that He is surely and steadily working all things for their good.
They know that He IS doing something exceedingly, abundantly above all they could imagine.

Yes, the righteous live by faith continuing to gaze upon their Savior, their Lover,
Praising Him for who He is...
And before they know it they too can look back and see the whole picture.
Their only response will be to shout in  awe, wonder, amazement, and gratefulness!!!
