What is your "even though?"
Habakkuk's "even though" was in a time of barrenness, a time of stripping away.
"Even though
The fig tree has no blossoms,
And the grape vines are empty,
The fields lie barren,
The cattle barns are empty." Habakkuk 3:17
So what is your "even though?"
Is it lack of provision,
A disturbing result from a test result,
A sickness that continues although you have prayed for healing,
Is it a marriage you know the Lord has promised to restore, but nothing is changing,
Are the bills piling up and the promised income has not arrived,
Maybe it's the ache for a child that is searching and bond by the enemy's grip,
Or the loss of a loved one?
Habakkuk's response to his "even though"
"Yet will I praise Him
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation.
The Lord is my strength, He will bring me safely over this mountain." Habakkuk 3:18,19
Yes, the righteous live by faith.
The righteous realize life is more than can be seen, more is going on than can be determined
here on earth.
The righteous know that their God sees the big picture, and His promises are true,
Even though life looks and feels bleak at the moment.
Yet, they praise Him!
Because they know that He is in control, He is for them..not against them,
they know that He is good, faithful,
Yes, they KNOW that He is surely and steadily working all things for their good.
They know that He IS doing something exceedingly, abundantly above all they could imagine.
Yes, the righteous live by faith continuing to gaze upon their Savior, their Lover,
Praising Him for who He is...
And before they know it they too can look back and see the whole picture.
Their only response will be to shout in awe, wonder, amazement, and gratefulness!!!
