On my walk this morning, I passed a field that was thick with dew. Sparkling jewels glistened and the brilliant rays of the sun, as it slowly climbed in the sky, showcased its beauty.
The dew has a source that is unseen.
I can see the rain and the snow descending from the heavens to nourish the earth,
But the dew appears invisibly, yet it nourishes and refreshes the ground.
The dew is a bit like joy...
Joy is that gift that the Lord gives me, even though circumstances don't appear joyful.
Yes, it is showcased by the Son, as I gaze upon Him.
He pours it down, and up from the wells of living water within,
But I cannot see it.
But I can feel this gift, as it lessens the trial.
Joy allows me to see the provision that is possible,
It stirs up hope, creates ideas, leads to rest, restoring me to peace.
Joy is the key He gives me to enter...
Enter into His presence.
He tells me to rejoice at all times....
How He desires to pour out this gift of joy so He can march me to victory.
It is His protection, His medicine for me...
He loves to see His children exploding with joy, sparkling with delight,
Because it is then that He sees us discovering who He really wants to be for us.
