The Waters of Shiloh

I do not want to refuse the waters You have supplied, God,
The waters of Shiloh, a fountain that runs continually to provide and protect.

This fountain is where my Help comes from.

This fountain is not a display of supremacy or grandeur,
But it is a fountain that is steady, always available, never running dry.

On the outside, this fountain appears small, maybe old-fashioned,
But its provision is strong, full and abundant.

Today it provides my peace,
Straight from the throne room of heaven.
Today it provides my joy,
Straight from the blood of Jesus.
Today it provides my strength and courage,
Given from the Father Himself,
Delivered to me on the wings of the angels... just when needed most.

Oh the favor of being Yours, God, and partaking from your provision!!!

Thinking of Mother

On this Mother's Day Eve., I remember you,
I miss the preparations of years gone by,
Years of preparing for your special days, as I desired to bless you and show you my love.

I remember some of those preparations: paper tissue flowers, going out in the woods and finding mountain
pinks and planting them for you, bouquets of lilacs, finding the right sweater, blouse, or hanging basket
that I hoped would bless you. I know you remember so many more...
I miss making your Mother's Day card, spilling out my sentiments and gratitude.

I always felt so blessed to have you as my mother,
So honored to have you as my example,
So thankful to be the recipient of your prayers,
So grateful for your love, your sacrifice, your instruction, your faith.

Do they have Mother's Day in heaven?
Do you see me standing up and blessing you, so grateful for the gift that you were to me and still are to me.

The prayers you uttered in my behalf continue to follow me and go before me.

I know you are cheering me on,
Cheering me on to preserve, to continue to run the race with joy and delight,
Cheering me on to continue to pass on the fire of love to my dear children,
just as you did to me.

Happy Mother's Day Mamma,
Just wanted to tell you again how much I love you!

Your Day, Your Moment

Has your day arrived my friend, the day the Lord has planned for your RESCUE?
The day He holds up His mighty arms and declares,
"Not one minute longer can I wait to have you in My arms. This is your day,
              your moment of rescue!!"

And then with determination and power He reaches in, breaks those chains, pulls you out, holds you tight.

Rescues you from the enemy's grip, the enemy's chains, his poison, his lies, his evil plans to destroy you.

As He holds you tight, He reveals His heart, the magnitude of His love, washing away the stain, the dirt,
        the shame, the guilt.

He looks at you with His eyes of flaming love, and old becomes new.
He puts within you a new heart, allowing your mind to be renewed.
How you sparkle as the jewels of His love for you adorn your new cloths and your crown.

As the Father gazes upon you, the newly rescued one, the one He loves, He sees you wearing  the robe
of His Son. That robe of righteousness that was obtained as His Son suffered and died for you.
The Father sees Jesus as He gazes upon you.

"All I have is yours." He exclaims. "Please receive the abundance and goodness that I have planned for you
that I have stored up for you."

O what a happy day, what a happy moment!
Can my heart contain the joy, the peace?
How can I put into words the wonder of being His, the wonder of the rescue?

Come as a Child

My husband took my grandson, Gabriel, up the street to see the horses last night. While he was up there he met Brandon who was riding a two-wheeler. I went up to check on him. When Gabriel turned around and saw me coming, he started running toward me calling, "Grandma, Grandma," and then he proceeded to tell me about his exciting discoveries and and this recent adventure.

When he called my name so enthusiastically desiring to share his stories with me, my hear felt such joy.
Unashamed and without reservation of what anybody around him thought, he ran to me calling out my name, spilling the delight he was experiencing.

I had to think how it must bless my Father, my Daddy when I call out His name with joy, delight, and joyfully run to him thanking him for my blessing, my discovery. He loves when I unreservedly tell Him about my day, my pain, the hurt, the fear, the victory. How He loves to hear my voice. How He loves to hear me call His name. How He loves when I know He is there, all the time to fellowship with, communicate with.

How He loves when I come to him as a child and see him as my loving Daddy!

Always Willing

Always willing to bend down and hear my cry.
Always willing to bring me out of the muddy pit,
Always celebrating when He sets my feet on the Rock, giving me the firm foundation of His love.

He never withholds His tender mercies from me.
He insists on embracing me with His unfailing love.
His truth shines brightly to lead the way,
    protecting and guarding me.

Even when the misfortunes of life press in on me from all sides,
And my iniquities and consequences weigh me down again.
When courage fails me,
And my eyesight becomes cloudy,
He is there
To do it again,
To pull me up,
Set me firm,
Embrace me with His love,
Putting a song on my lips and joy in my heart.

So patient My Father is as I learn this process of trusting,

Learning that only as I trust can I be happy, satisfied and whole!

A Gateway of Hope

Has the enemy stolen from you?
Has he stolen your joy, your gladness?
Has he stolen your reservoir, dried up your stream, taken your strength, run away with your rest?

Does your outlook on life look dark?
Does gloom meet your ears, your eyes everywhere you turn?

The Father wants you to look into the horizon.
Do you see it my friend?
The Father has a land prepared for you, a land like the garden of Eden.

Behind you is your wasted wilderness,
Directly in front of you His GATEWAY of HOPE.
Nudge that gate open, my friend,
And you will discover the access to the land, that land as glorious as the garden of Eden.

The cross is on the path to the land.
The Father sent His Son to bear this cross, to pay the price for your freedom.
He offers Himself to set you free from your darkness, your bondage, your pain.
He shed His blood to deliver you from the power of fear, and all the shame and guilt.
He endured the agony and suffering so you could be released into your destiny, your dreams, into
His plans and purposes for you..
He paid the entrance fee, the price with the suffering of His body and the shedding of His blood,
to set you free and bring you into this land.

His love is patient as He waits for you to discover His sacrifice,
Graciously and compassionately He beckons for you to come and enjoy His goodness, His grace.
With the same love that he created you with, He pleads for you to turn, to repent, to discover
     His poured out gift.
With the same love that breathed life into you, that same love that purposed and planned for you to prosper
in life, He invites you to come, discover, receive the fullness of life He has purposed for you.

Behind you a wasted wilderness
Before you the land as a garden of Eden.

Come and partake of His grace!

Planting

These tiny seeds,
Can they possibly bring forth a crop of lettuce, carrots, parsley?
With faith I plant you, seed, in this soil,
Faith in the promise on your packaging,
Faith in the science of seed planting and harvest,
Faith in the sun, warmth, and rain needed to bring growth,
Faith in the faithfulness of my God who promises seed-time and harvest.

These tiny seeds,
The outcome looks bleak as I cover you with dirt,
But the hope of fresh greens for my salad and the faith in the process spurs me on.

As the Father plants that seed of faith, that seed of hope, that seed of love into my heart,
Change doesn't appear possible.
But He plants that seed and dreams,
Dreams of restoration, renewed thinking, abundant living for me.

How patiently He guards that seed,
How He rejoices as it sprouts,
How carefully he watches over the the growth,
Watering it with the wellspring of heaven,
Cascading His fountain of light and truth upon me,
Uprooting the stones, the rocks, the thistles, giving my roots room to expand in the foundation of His love.

He gives me opportunities to sow seed too,
Sometime the seed is small, like a smile, other times larger...
All His seed, orchestrated from His heart, destined to be planted at just the right moment,
Using His willing obedient vessels...

Lord open my eyes ,
To all the possibilities and the big picture involved
When You give me that tiny nudge to plant a seed!
