He searches for one...

He searches…for One
Who will stand…
Stand in the gap
The gap in the wall…of your tent, your family, your city, your country,
And believe the promise
The promise of restoration and return.

He looks for One
Who will not whitewash the crack
With the lies and philosophies of the world
With smallness of mind or intellect.
He looks for One
Who knows the Source
The Source of true healing, the Source of all strength
The Source of wholeness, repair, restoration…

Yes…
He is looking for the One
Who will not give up, not get tired, not become distracted…
He is looking for One
Who has experienced His love, His strength, His care,
And knows…and believes
The impossible is possible for this gap too.
He is looking for the One
Who will stand in the gap,
And joyfully believe with expectation!!!

He Settles the Issue

My Father,
In His power, greatness and supremacy
Can and will settle the issue
For this circumstance,
For this dear one,
For this country,
For this overwhelming, looming, trouble, darkness, loss that looms so flauntingly before me...

This puny plan of the enemy,
This mocking madness of the thief,
This invasion from this unwelcome inhabitant...

My Father,
He can...and He will...settle the issue!!
He speaks...and laughs at the puniness, the stupidity of the dark plan...

My Father comes and settles the issue
With His power, His authority,
He speaks forth His plan, His purpose
And declares  the Word of Truth...

And that puny enemy has to go...run...fall...
It cannot stand where the blood of Jesus flows
Nor can it survive in the territory that belongs to My Father.

My Father...
He settles the issue!!

Have Fun at Your House

I hugged him goodbye
And said, “Have fun at the shore!” That is where he was going with his family.
He responded with a hug and these words, “Have fun at your house!”

That word from my young nephew pierced my heart.
It was a word from the Father that went straight to my heart,
“Have fun at your house.”

Yes, I contemplated,
I can have fun at my house…in the everyday normal routine
I can have fun as I reflect on God’s goodness…

I can have fun as I load the washer,
As I thank God for a washing machine and anticipate clean cloths,

I can have fun as I wash dishes,
As I thank God for my daily bread and my family who helped dirty these dishes.

I can have fun weeding the garden,
As I thank God for health, sunshine, summer, and these plants that will grow and bring a harvest.

I can have fun as I brush my teeth,
As I thank God for keeping the cavities away.

I can have fun as I hear my husband’s voice as he comes in the door and announces, “I am
home,” and when I hear my son ask me to pray with him before going to bed.

The list is endless…
When my mind is child-like, thankful, and full of Him…
The possibilities of having fun…are endless!
